Welcome to The MCCC, home of the Centre Theater.

The Centre Theater at the Montgomery County Cultural Center, located in downtown Norristown, provides affordable, quality professional theater and arts education. By providing quality programs we are bringing the arts to our community as well as to communities in the Greater Delaware Valley area.

The Independent Voices Festival

Four Productions over three weeks including Marx in Soho, Citizen Paine, Krissy in Concert and Mosaic Theatre's Slave Narratives Revisited. Call for tickets.

Auditions for the Musical Oliver
Non-union. OLIVER! Auditions by appointment: Saturday, January 9 - 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wed, January 13 - 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Callbacks weekend of January 23. For children, please prepare: Where is Love (Oliver) and Consider Yourself (Artful Dodger) For adults, please prepare 16 bars - Men: up tempo; Women up tempo and a ballad. Sides from the script will be read. To receive sides, please contact Fran @ doy208 at aol dot com or call 610-279-1013. Director Aileen McCulloch seeks several children ages 8 to 18 who can read as both boys and girls, along with a strong adult cast able to play multiple roles. Show runs June 4 to 27, 2010 in Norristown. Tech week May 29 to June 3. Cast expected to be available for all technical rehearsal and performance dates. Call 610-279-1013 for more information.

Saturday morning kids classes for kids begin on October 3 from 9:30 - 11:30AM. The classes will offer theater and dance/choreography. We will have some guests join us with makeup and art. The tuition for this program is $110 for 10 sessions. It will be a great experience for all. Staff includes Kim Cruise and Becky Savage. We welcome all students, no audition required, ages 5 - 18. We will welcome registrations until October 17.

We are enbarking on a big project of upgrading the building we have on DeKalb Street with a new, bigger theater. With the help of many people the project is coming to fruition and we are very excited about it! About the MCCC

The Montgomery County Cultural Center is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to bringing the arts to a broad audience, educating young people in an appreciation of the arts and the artistic spirit in themselves and revitalizing the Montgomery County region.

Our 75 seat professional theatre space, The Centre Theater, produces a three show main stage season with smaller studio works. The theater is located on the 4th floor of our building, with elevator access.
