The Cast of The Godspell

Chuck Wilson (Jesus) is returning to the Centre Theater stage after his acclaimed portrayals of Salome in THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM, Archibald in THE SECRET GARDEN, and Stine in CITY OF ANGELS. Chuck recently choreographed LES MIZ and was seen in the Iron Age Theatre production of COMING OF THE HURRICANE. His past experiences with the Centre Theater were Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf in INTO THE WOODS and choreographer for YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN. Chuck has also worked at the Dramateurs as the director of an original musical revue and was Riff in WEST SIDE STORY, The Pimpernell in THE SCARLET PIMPERNELL and as Mickey in BLOOD BROTHERS.
Charles Wagner (John/Judas) Charles has been seen at the Centre Theater as Jimmy Powers in City of Angels and Ben in Secret Garden. His other local roles include Guiteau in ASSASSINS at the Dramateurs, Don Quixote in MAN OF LAMANCHA with King of Prussia Players, and Rooster in ANNIE at Methacton. His favorite past roles include biff in DEATHOF A SALESMAN, Lancelot in CAMELOT, and Joseph in JOSEPH…DREAMCOAT. Charles has also written two plays for Children and hopes to continue that area of interest. During the day, Charles works at JW Pepper & Sons in Paoli and is a choir member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Radnor.
Julie Bookhamer is pleased to be appearing in her second production with the Centre Theater. She enjoyed being a part of the Angel City 4 jazz quartet in last season's City of Angels. Julie has participated in various shows throughout the Philadelphia area, including ALTARations (a one-act comedy), HMS Pinafore, Pirates of Penzance, and My Fair Lady. She works for a non-profit music school as a music therapist, serving preschool children at risk.
Frank Ferrara, This is Frank's third production with The Centre Theater including- Clemment Musgrove in "The Robber Bridegroom" and Humphrey / Harry Wolf in "Little Red and the Hoods". Other faverite roles include The Hermit Writer in "Orphans in Metropolis", Joseph Carey in the off-off Broadway prod. of "The Witch of Edmenton" and Michael in the film "Waiting". He loves working here, and with talented casts like this one, hopes to continue doing so. He would like to thank Danielle and his family for all of their love and support.
Sheila Egan Addis: Godspell is Sheila's first show with the Center Theatre. She has appeared in productions of Secret Garden, Big and Jekyll & Hyde at the Media Theatre, The Ritz and Three Little Bakers, respectively. Her favorite roles to date are Mamie Eisenhower and Amelia Earhart in Hoopskirt Theatre Company's production of First Lady Suite. Later this Summer, she'll be back at Three Little Bakers playing Vi in Footloose (at select performances).
Linda L. Conway, "Gilmer": Linda Conway is happy to be making her debut with the Centre Theatre. Her most recent role was "Sharon" in Soap Opera with the Wilmington Drama League. Before that, she participated in various shows at Elizabethtown College and the Bel Air Drama Company. Linda currently serves as the executive director of the Academy of Community Music, where she also leads preschool music therapy groups.
Frances Calter graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Acting. Since her graduation Frances has worked professionally on and off stage in Boston, New York, and Philadelphia and toured nationally with Radio Disney. When she's not on stage, Frances can been found teaching creative dramatics through several schools and theaters. Some of her favorite roles include Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Tina from Tony and Tina's wedding, and Brad's Wife from Imagining Brad. She is thrilled to be working with the wonderful cast and crew of Godspell and she would like to thank her parents for their never-ending support.
Nancy Furey: This is Nancy's first appearance with the Centre Theater. A veteran of the Upper Darby Summer Stage program, she has been active in children's theatre for over ten years. Favorite roles there have included the Red Queen (Alice in Wonderland), the Stepmother (Cinderella), Owl (Winnie the Pooh), and Fern (Charlotte's Web). Additionally, she’s sung and soloed on Upper Darby Performing Arts Summer Stage's CD, "Magic Up Our Sleeve". In addition to performing onstage, she has also had the pleasure of performing in the pit orchestras of Fiorello! (Trombone I) and Annie (Reed III). This summer, she will be returning to Summer Stage, this time as a Musical Director.
David Yashin is a senior at Norristown Area High school. He has performed in school productions as well as Community and Professional theatre productions. He was seen as Sonny in the Cultural Centers performances of City of Angels and as Chris in the New York States theatre's readings of Twilight in Thebes. Some favorite roles include Scapino in SCAPINO!, Alceste in The Misanthrope, Eugene in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Jean Valjean in Les Misérables and Joseph in Jopseph and the amazing... Currently he is involved with the Barn Playhouse's production of Into The Woods, performing as Jack, and The Delaware Valley Opera Company starring in The Medium.
Sean McBrayer is a 2002 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts. While at IUP he became a brother of the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He was also involved with the music theater and opera programs there. He played Nibbles the Shark in "West Side Story," Bob Beckett in Gilbert and Sullivan's "H.M.S. Pinafore" and Monostatos in Mozart's "The Magic Flute."
Kathy Anne Wagner (Director) Godspell marks Kathy's third production with the Center Theater, performing as Clair in THE SECRET GARDEN, and serving as the Music Director and Angel City Four Vocalist in CITY OF ANGELS. Kathy sings in the chorus of the Opera Co. of Phila, most recently in their productions of CARMEN and LA TRAVIATA. Other favorite roles include Mercedes in CARMEN, Cheryl in THE TAFFETAS, Amy in COMPANY and Rafaella in GRAND HOTEL. Kathy is on the staff of the Cultural Center's summer program Kids: Heart of the Arts and teaches privately and at Phila. Academy Charter School.
Wesley T. Stohler (Accompianist) Wes last appeared as King Charles in PIPPIN at Drexel Hill. His favorite parts include Pharoah in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT and Audrey II in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. When Wes isn’t on stage, he enjoys playing in the pit and being part of the production staff for various shows.
