The Cast of The Secret Garden
Kathy Anne Beish (Claire/Mr. Winthrop) Kathy sings in the chorus of the Opera Company of Philadelphia, most recently in their productions of MAGIC FLUTE and TOSCA. She has performed various opera and musical theatre roles in the Philadelphia area and in Syracuse, NY including Mercedes in CARMEN, Cheryl in THE TAFFETAS, Amy in COMPANY, and Rafaella in GRAND HOTEL, to name a few. Kathy teaches music at The Philadelphia Academy Charter School and teaches voice and piano privately in Malvern, and is a soloist at St David’s Episcopal Church in Radnor.
Katie Burke (Mary) Katie goes to Upper Merion Middle School. She has been a chorus member in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, CAROUSEL, ANNIE, and was Wanda in MURDER AT THE BANQUET. Next fall she will be Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet. She would like to thank her whole family for supporting her and helping her.
Carolyn Dascher (Mrs. Medlock) A graduate of Drew University’s Theater Arts program, Carolyn has worn many hats in many theatres, including the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, the Playwright’s Theatre of New Jersey and the Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival. Her most recent adventure has been performing 18th century first-person historical interpretation in Old City with Historic Philadelphia, Inc. Next up for Carolyn is Sister Sofia in SOUND OF MUSIC at Three Little Bakers dinner theatre in Wilmington, DE. Many thanks to Fran and Fred, much love to her family, friends (especially Anne Marie and all the “Heiffers”), her roommates and most importantly her kitties, Hamish and Bailey.
John Doyle (Dr. Neville Craven): John is the co-founder of Iron Age Theatre. He has a master’s degree from Villanova and specializes in graphic design, lighting design, and script analysis. John is the program director of the Barrymore nominated program, Kids: The Heart of the Arts. He acts as manager of the Centre Theater. He appeared as P. T. Barnum in the Centre’s production of BARNUM and co-directed THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA, TUNNEL, and LUTHER.
Rebecca Gallatin (Martha) Most recently, Rebecca was Rosamund in the collaborative production, between Vagabond Acting Troupe and The Centre Theater, of The ROBBER BRIDEGROOM. She has performed on the road with The Repertory Theater of America, appearing in THE DRUNKARD, MURDER BY THE BOOK and I OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES. Her favorite musical roles include Patty in YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, Irene in CRAZY FOR YOU and Hodel in FIDDLER. She thanks her family for all their continued love and support.
Samuel Hines (Fakir) Off Broadway credits include Boxes and Floyd Collins. Regional Theater Sam has been seen in INTO THE WOODS as Jack, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS as Mr. Mushnik, Carousel, The Fantastiks and when last at the Centre Theater as Charlie Brown in YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN. Thank you to John. Sam dedicates this and all performances to God for putting the song in his heart and his grandmother for letting it out.
Michael Hogan ( Lt. Peter Wright) can be seen this summer performing around America’s most historical square mile ( Old City) as a townsplayer with Historical Philadelphia, Inc. Most recently returned from the national tour of CHARLOTTE’S WEB (Narrator) TheaterWorks/USA. Other credits include Puss in PUSS IN BOOTS (Hedgerow Theatre), Jim in THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SOWYER (National tour), and numerous roles in AESOP’S FABLES (Philadelphia Theatre Caravan). Film credits include SNIPES, THE ROUNDTABLE, and THE ANIMAL FACTORY. Mike would like to dedicate this performance to the love of his life, Binky for all of her undying love and support!
J. Andrew Keitch (Major Holmes) is a graduate of Ohio University’s School of Theater. Andy has been most recently seen as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Calvary Lutheran Church in West Chester. Other local credits include Tony in WEST SIDE STORY, LunTha in the KING AND I, both at Three Little Bakers Dinner Theater and Laurie in LITTLE WOMEN at Barley Sheaf Players. He would like to thank his family for their continual support.
Kyle Kupecky (Colin)is currently attending the Upper Merion Area Middle School. Kyle is glad to be part of the Centre Theater’s SECRET GARDEN. Kyle has also performed in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, MURDER AT THE BANQUET at Upper Merion. Also this fall Kyle will perform as Romeo in ROMEO AND JULIET at the Middle School. Kyle would like to thank his family for their love and support.
Melissa J. Natale (Ayah) Melissa is a graduate of Ohio University where she studied opera and theater. She has appeared as The Queen of the Night in THE MAGIC FLUTE, Annie in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, Jenny in A STREET SCENE and parts in many other shows including NUNSENSE, THE GONDOLIERS, COSI FAN TUTI, THE MERRY WIDOW, WEST SIDE STORY and others. Melissa would like to thank her friends and family for their support.
Marietta Rizzone ( Lily) This is Marietta’s third musical at the Centre Theater. She appeared as Cinderella in INTO THE WOODS, and Charity Barnum in BARNUM. Marietta is a manager in the Network Engineering Department at Verizon and is a vocal student of Julia Price.
Wesley T. Stohler (Albert) Wes last appeared as King Charles in PIPPEN at Drexel Hill. His favorite parts include Pharoah in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT and Audrey II in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. When Wes isn’t on stage, he enjoys playing in the pit and being part of the production staff for various shows.
Melissa Rudy (Rose) Melissa is happy to be appearing for the first time at The Centre Theater as Rose. She has worked for Storybook Musical Theater and the Prince Music Theatre. She is a graduate of West Chester University and she thanks her family and friends for their support.
Jason Stockdale ( Dickon) is appearing at the Centre Theater for the third time, previously seen as Schroeder in .CHARLIE BROWN and Jamie Lockhart in THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM. Recently he has portrayed the Baron in SLAPPED! with the Vagabond Acting Troupe and the Lion in WIZARD OF OZ with Storybook Musical theatre. He’s usually seen going bonkers at the New Jersey State Aquarium or Phillies home games and is a founding member of Mooncalves.
Charles Wagner (Ben Weatherstaff/Lt. Shaw) Charles has been locally seen with the King of Prussia Players as Don Quixote in MAN OF LA MANCHA, with Methacton Community Theater as Rooster in ANNIE, and with Acme Mystery Theater Company as Hugh Argyle in DEADLY INHERITANCE. His favorite past roles also include Biff in DEATH OF A SALESMAN, Lancelot in CAMELOT and Joseph in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, Pillippe de Chandon in PHANTOM, and Bobby in COMPANY all performed in the Syracuse, NY area. Charles spends his days working at J.W. Pepper & Sons Inc. in Paoli and is a choir member of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Radnor.
Chuck Wilson ( Archibald) is returning to the Centre Theater stage after his acclaimed portrayal of Salome in THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM last fall. His past experiences with the Centre Theater were Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf in INTO THE WOODS and choreographer for YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN. Chuck has also worked at the Dramateurs as the director of an original musical revue and was Riff in WEST SIDE STORY, Stine in CITY OF ANGELS and as Mickey in BLOOD BROTHERS.
