Suzanne Smart (Josie Hogan) Suzanne is pleased to be making her debut with Iron Age Theatre Company. Josie is a role she's always wanted to explore. She's grateful to John and Randy for this opportunity. Suzanne is blessed to have been making her living in the entertainment industry for the last 18 years; mainly in TV and Radio voice-overs. (QVC, Trump Taj Mahal, Penn National Bank and the voice for The Philadelphia Zoo's phone system to name a few!). She also has done film and television work (most recently, appearing as a prision guard on "As The World Turns") and is excited to be studying in New York City with Wynn Handman, founder of The American Place Theater and first assistant to Sandy Meisner (creator of the Meisner technique). Some of his past students include John Leguezama, Alison Janny, Chris Cooper, Alec Baldwin, James Caan and Michael Dougles. Suzanne was last seen on-stage in Philadelphia as Cecile Barr in the world premiere and Barrymore Award winning production of "Baby Case" at The Arden Theatre. Thanks to her sister, Karen for her support and especially her son, Kevin... it's not easy havin' a mom who's an actress!
Steve Hatzai (Phil Hogan) Steve has been involved in theatre as an actor, director, technician and educator for over forty years. He has appeared onstage at the Folger Theatre in Washington, the 45th St. Theatre in Manhattan, at InterAct, Society Hill Playhouse, Peoples Light and Theatre. Hedgerow and Villanova Theatre in Philadelphia and at Touchstone Theatre, Muhlenberg Summer Theatre, Civic Theatre, Theatre Outlet, the Pennsylvania Stage Company and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival in the Lehigh Valley. Steve’s most recent performances include Rory in Lafferty’s Wake at the Society Hill Playhouse, Hucklebee in The Fantasticks at Hedgerow and Muhlenberg Summer Theatre, and Jacob Marley in Peoples Light and Theatre’s “A Christmas Carol”. He first appeared with Iron Age as Weston, in Sam Shepard’s Curse of the Starving Class and is pleased to be back for this wonderful play. and played Ferris in the Fall 2003 production of "The Diviners."
Ray Saraceni (James Tyrone) is a frequent performer with Iron Age Theatre where he has been seen as Lou in The Speed of Darkness, George in Of Mice and Men and Vinnie in Simpatico. He played Amundsen in Terra Nova. He appeared as the Ghost/Player King in Philadelphia Shakespeare’s Festival production of Hamlet and in King Lear. He also appeared in the premire season of Arcadia Shakespeare Theater at Arcadia University. Ray won critical acclaim with his performance as Roy Cohn in Angels in America. Ray has a Master’s Degree from Villanova University and teaches theater history at Lehigh University and a freshman seminar at Villanova University.
Steve McLean (T. Steadman Harder) returns to Iron Age Theater having previously been in "Of Mice and Men, ' “Coming of the Hurricane,” “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and “Heaven Can Wait.” Most recently, he appeared as the twins, John and James, in “Love! Valour! Compassion!” at the 2nd stage at the Adnenne. Steve is a member of the Iron Age Board. Steve would like to thank Harry "whose love and support over 26 years has made possible everything in my life"
Jered McLenigan (Mike Hogan): Jered has been working at the Centre Theater since its inception. Jered has appeard with Iron Age Theatre as Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, as the Beast in the bizarre Seventy Scenes of Halloween, and in The Speed of Darkness. Jered played Evans in the Barrymore nominated production of Terra Nova . He also appeared as Buddy in the critically aclaimed Diviners.
