THEODORE A. HARRIS a collagist, poet, muralist, born in New York City in 1966 and reared in Philadelphia, P A

Paints murals throughout the city of Philadelphia with the Mural Arts Program since 1983.

Poetry and collages have appeared in various publications such as the Real News, North Philly Matters, Long Shot, The Hammer, Unity & Struggle Journa4 Switch Blade, New Letters, Ratta Pallax. Paterson Literary Review, AMEM (published in Madrid) Left Curve, A WOL, Heart, The Gaither Reporter, Cal Literary Arts Magazine, African American Review, Black Renaissance Noire, Quarterly Black Book Review, XCP: Cross Cultural Poetics, Callaloo, and in the anthology In Defense of Mumia (Writers and Readers 1996), ROLE CALL: A Generational Anthology of Social and Political Black Literature & Art (third World Press 2002). Bumrush the Page (CROWN 2002).

First one-man show mounted at Rutgers University, New Jersey in 1998.

Collage portrait of Paul Robeson hangs in the University of Pennsylvania Paul Robeson Research Center.

February 2000 group show; "Living by Faith" four artists from Philadelphia, at Western Oregon University.

Set/Artistic Consultant for Washington D.C Lincoln Theatre's 1999 production of Langston Hughes's play "Black Nativity'. Artist in Residence for the 2000 Festival of Arts & Ideas in New Haven Connecticut.

Set/collage projections for "The Cold Cradle" presented by The Spoke 'n Weal September 2001. Gallery Fringe, Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Philadelphia, P A

Group show "Living off Experience" at Rush Arts Gallery 2002. Slide Lecture "Hunted Everywhere: Collaging the Capitol" at Villanova University 2001, and Haverford College 2002.
