The setting is early in the morning, on a plantation in Cross, South Carolina, where a mother and her son, Elias, live during the 1800’s.

Vocal and Percussion Ensemble
Voices of Africa

The “Voices of Africa” Choral Ensemble is the cultural enrichment component of DECACS, Inc., a non-profit, culturally sensitive counseling and tutorial service for children and their families.
The Voices of Africa shares the joy of its music, which spans the Diaspora, through traditional African and African American songs, message music, gospel and inspirational poly-rhythms.
